how to make your first chad on chadak
new to chadak? here is everything you need to go from zero to your first chad in a few minutes.
chadak is a social network where you share your voice instead of text. the short voice clips you share are called chads. if you have never made one, this guide walks you through it, step by step.
1. join chadak
open chadak.com in any browser, on your phone or your computer. there is nothing to install. sign up with google, apple or your email, then pick a name and a username. your username is how people find and mention you.
2. set up your profile
add a photo and a short bio. people decide whether to follow you in a few seconds, and a face and one line about you make a big difference. say what you like to talk about, like music, football, tech, life, or anything else.
3. allow your microphone
the first time you record, your browser asks if chadak can use your microphone. choose allow. if you clicked block by mistake, click the icon next to the address bar and turn the microphone back on. on a mac, also check system settings, privacy and security, microphone, and make sure your browser is switched on there.
4. record your first chad
tap the chad button, then tap the mic and start talking. when you are done, stop the recording and listen back. if you do not like it, record it again. nobody hears it until you share it.
add a title so people know what it is about, and a picture if you want it to stand out in the feed. then share it.
what should my first chad be?
keep it simple. a great first chad is a short hello.
- say who you are and where you are from.
- say what you want to talk about on chadak.
- end with a question, so people have a reason to reply.
you do not need a perfect voice or a quiet studio. people on chadak want to hear real people, not radio hosts.
5. listen and reply
scroll the home feed and tap play on anything that catches your eye. when a chad makes you laugh or think, reply with your voice. replies are the fastest way to meet people on chadak, because the person you reply to hears you right away.
6. follow voices you like
follow the people you enjoy and your feed fills with their chads. like and save the chads you want to come back to, and rechad the ones you want your followers to hear too.
7. try stories and voice messages
stories are quick voice moments, up to a minute long, that disappear after 24 hours. voice messages are private chats made of voice. you can even send a listen once message, which can only be played one time.
tips for great chads
- keep it short. most great chads say one thing well.
- start strong. the first few seconds decide if people keep listening.
- be yourself. your voice is the whole point.
- share your chad link on x, whatsapp or anywhere else. anyone can open it and listen.
that is it. you are now chadding. if you get stuck, the faq and the help center have more answers.
